Gallery Museum
Location: http://www.craftyavenue.com/gallery/index.php

Crafty Avenue's Gallery Museum is the first user gallery on the net dedicated to crafters! Here you can browse through hundreds of creative crafts organized by type and by member. You can even share your own photos of what you created, then receive and give feedback on each photo, absolutely free. Each user receives a free account with plenty of space to store up to 100 photos. If you find yourself running out of space, you can always upgrade your account.

Just a few Gallery features:

  • "My Photos": Your own personal section of the Gallery Museum where you can view all of your images posted, and upload more images.
  • "My Favorites": As you browse through the Gallery, you can save your favorite images to "your favorites" so that you can view them later for quick inspiration!
  • Upload images to the Gallery. When you upload your photos, you can choose which category or album to put the image in, type a description and title, and type in keywords so others can easily find your photo in a search.
  • Post and view comments and questions to each image. The comments will show up beneath the photo. This provides a great opportunity to learn from other crafters, share your own techniques, and for constructive criticism.
  • Advanced search: search through all of the images by keyword, username, category, and more to narrow your search.
  • Receive email updates when users post comments to your images.
  • Email galleries to your friends. At the bottom of each user gallery, you'll find a place to email the gallery to your friends and family.
  • With an upgraded account, you would also be able to use "My Albums" to create virtual albums where you can organize your images by theme, category, or any method you wish. You can even upload an album cover image!

When you participate in the Gallery Museum, make sure to follow the Terms and Rules.

A few frequently asked questions about the Gallery:

1. What kind of image formats can I upload? You can upload .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png

2. How big can the image be? The maximum size of the image can be no larger than 550 pixels wide or tall; and no larger than 150 KB.

3. How many images can I upload? To prevent a server crash, or a massive amount of images in our gallery, users are only allowed to upload up to five images a day. We do not have a limit on the number of total images you can upload, but we do have a limit of the amount of space you can use.  Users can upload a total of 5 MB (5120 KB). To maximize your space, make sure you optimize your photos for the web, and compress them as much as possible. If you are unsure as to how to do this, visit our forum for a tutorial. If you would like more available space, you can upgrade your account.

4. How can I upgrade my account to get more space in the gallery? You can upgrade your account by visiting our Upgrade page. From there, you can sign up for a subscription service through PayPal.

5. I'm scared that other users will post negative comments about my crafts; should I still upload my images? Of course! The great majority of comments are positive. We do encourage users to post constructive criticism to help us learn; but being rude or negative about an image is not allowed. We do monitor the Gallery and delete comments that are blatantly rude or offensive.
