Crafty Avenue's Terms of Service
By signing up for a free account at Crafty Avenue, you gain access to special areas of the forum, your own area in our gallery, the ability to comment, participate, and upload photos, exclusive offers, coupons and more! Membership is absolutely 100% FREE! All we ask in return is that you follow the rules and respect your fellow neighbors. By signing up for an account you agree that you have read, understood, and will follow the Terms of Service. These rules and terms may be modified from time, and such modification shall be deemed binding when posted anywhere on the Crafty Avenue site. Failure to follow these rules will result in disciplinary action against you or your account. Please note, for access to all parts of our site, you will have to register twice: once for our forum and gallery, and once for our shopping center. A separate account is required for our shopping center for security.

Posting Rules:

1. Competing Businesses: Please respect our website and don't post links to other pattern only sites, or other competing sites. (Links and content of this nature should only be shared via email or Private Message). Occasionally linking to your personal website of finished crafts within a post is fine.

2. Signatures & Advertising: For the benefit of our neighbors with slower connections, only ONE signature image is allowed in signatures. *NO ad banners are allowed. If you would like to advertise on our website, please visit our advertising page. Occasionally linking to your personal website of finished crafts is fine. We do have an option to add your website to your profile. This will create a WWW button link at the bottom of each of your posts; so including a link to your site within your signature is not necessary. *Please note: creating a signature and website link can only be done if you have 10 or more posts.

If you are linking to your website within our forum, please return the link by using one of our banners, buttons, or text links on your website. They can be found in our "Link To Us" page.

3. Image Hosting: Our gallery shall not be used as your personal image host. For example, you may not upload graphics or the like to be linked to from eBay auction templates, etc. You may only upload photos of finished crafts, swaps, home photos (or any photo relating to an existing category) for use of sharing your images.

4. Posting In Categories: Please post messages in their related forums; and images in their most related category. Do not post the same message or photo in two separate forums/categories.

5. Copyrighted Material: Content uploaded to Crafty Avenue by you may only be of your creation. Do not post or upload materials whose copyright is owned by someone other than you. Works considered in the public domain may be uploaded.

6. Be courteous: Do not post defamatory or insulting comments, either directly or indirectly, about any user at Crafty Avenue (or any company, which can lead to lawsuits). This includes any place on the site, including, but not limited to forum posts, gallery posts, product reviews, and private messages. You are expected to treat others with respect no matter if you like or dislike someone and their views.

7. Inappropriate Content: Hate language, sexually explicit pictures and language, discriminatory language, provoking language, profanity, or inappropriate content of any kind is prohibited. (This includes any place on the site, including, but not limited to posts on the forum, private messages, product reviews, signatures, avatars, gallery posts, and images uploaded to the gallery.) This is a family friendly website.

8. Politics & Religion: Please refrain from heated debates on topics such as politics or religion. Everyone has their own opinion on the subjects, and these discussions usually lead to hurt feelings.

9. Disputes: All disputes between neighbors should be handled by Private Message (PM) or email and not on the Crafty Avenue message boards.

General Rules:

1. Our Content: Do not copy information from Crafty Avenue and use it for publication anywhere, including other websites or print media.

Crafty Avenue reserves the right to display uploaded photos, tips, posts and other submissions, content and information anywhere on any site owned or operated by Crafty Avenue.

Due to the real-time nature of our services at Crafty Avenue, it is not possible for us to immediately review all content, posts, and images or confirm the validity of information posted. We are not responsible for any content posted, and do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message. The messages and images express the views of the author and not necessarily the views of Crafty Avenue.

2. Violating Posts: Any user who feels that a posted message or image is objectionable, inappropriate or violates these rules is encouraged to contact us immediately by e-mail at info @ craftyavenue.com, by our contact form on our Contact page, or by clicking on the "report this photo" or "report this post" links. Any reported violating post will be edited or removed without notice.

We reserve the right to delete any content, message, or image for any or no reason whatsoever. If a post, review, or image of yours gets removed, do not question it publicly on our forum. If you have questions, or believe it to be an error, you can contact one of the board moderators privately. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, images, and any other contribution you make to the site or participation in it, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless craftyavenue.com with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s), images, or other communications or participation, including indemnifying and holding harmless craftyavenue.com from any claims of copyright infringement, including but not limited to actual damages and attorneys fees. We at craftyavenue.com also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message, whether illegal or otherwise, posted by you.

3. Not Complying With Rules: Those who do not comply with the rules as defined above may be banned from Crafty Avenue indefinitely without warning at our discretion. When a user is banned, all PM's (private messages) are deleted and will not be forwarded to or from the offending user. In addition, Crafty Avenue will not remove historical posts by banned neighbors unless we deem appropriate or necessary. Individuals who have been banned may submit a statement to be considered for reinstatement into our website. If you would like to submit a formal complaint or a request for reinstatement, please contact us at info @ craftyavenue.com.

4. Advertisers: Crafty Avenue reserves the right to decline any advertiser. Websites that sell craft supplies will not be accepted for advertising.

5. Updating Rules: Crafty Avenue reserves the right to change these rules without warning at any time.

Privacy Policy:

Crafty Avenue collects personal information when signing up for an account only to validate your account and to contact you if necessary. We do not sell or share any information given to us.
