Use Shoe Polish On Your Tags
I love experimenting with paper and aging solutions and found out a while back that using brown shoe polish & a cosmetic sponge allowed me to add more aging to the edges of my primitive tags. (I use the shoe polish in a can ~ the waxy stuff.)

Also if I glue an image to the tag - say, a cut-out of a vintage little girl - I use a Q-tip with the shoe polish to lightly outline (smudge around) the cut-out which gives it a little depth.
