We all have them. If not, you know where to get them. All shiny and new, plastic and well not so pretty... Go ahead admit it , you have some in a basket right now.

I'm going to show you a fast and easy way to dress up the ever so popular plastic Easter egg.

Wrapped Plasic Easter Eggs

You don't need much , just a small list of supplies.

 1. Plastic eggs.
 2. Fabric cut into strips , or ribbon. Even bias tape.
 3. A hot glue gun.

If you choose fabric you will need to cut the strips on the bias. This is how you will get a nice smooth finish. For all you non sewers don't let this word intimidate you. It just means to cut it on the angle, not straight across.

like this:

See how I have the ruler running from corner to corner? That's where you want to cut. Make your strips no more then half an inch wide. Mine are less then that.

Now glue one end to your egg. Like this....

And wrap the egg, going round and round. Like this...

When you get the entire egg covered glue down the end.

Now you can coffee stain it if you wish. But I highly recommend you let it air dry. If you attempt to put it in the oven it will look like, this.....

Okay that last bit was purely for entertainment!

Enjoy!
