Prim Prep (preparing fabric strips)

At the beginning of each season, I tear fabric (homespun, muslin, etc) into strips and tea stain. I heap a group of 10 to 12 pieces onto an plate and put in the microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on high. This will help set the stain and dry up some of the excess tea.

I then place the strips onto coat hangers, sorting by color. This gives me a great selection of prim ribbons to add to my fabric and wooden crafts. Plus they look good hanging on the wall!
