Fimo Clay as a Template

Keep fimo clay with you and use it as a template when you find a design you like, just press it to the design and pull off take home and bake it. Now you have a template to use with more fimo clay for making some really unique items, jewelry etc. Great to take to antique stores and you find a unique design, press and take that image home with you to use later on.

  • Yikes! I have to agree with Jan on this. As someone who actually runs an antique business I am pretty sure I would skin someone alive if I caught them doing this to most of my stuff.
I'd always ask first. Who knows - depending on the piece it may be harmless. But jewelry could be damaged this way. Real stones by subjecting them to the chemicals & fake stones that are usually glued in may be pulled out due to old glue.
It's a great idea but ask when doing it with someone else's item. Would want to see anyone get in big trouble.

  • Hi Gina, Good idea but maybe you should ask first? But I am sure we might have things we'd like to do of our own and we could use this idea. Thanks

  • I am just SURE that any antique store would LOVE people cramming clay onto their old pieces! PLEASE think for a moment before doing something this discourteous!
