Crazy Quilt - Prim style

Although crazy quilting is usually referred to as a Victorian craft, I have always admired the crazy quilted - quilts and desired to create one. Here is my crazy quilted throw {50"x60"} that I am creating using 100% cottons and homespun fabrics. I'm desiring to embroider the seams, applique some folk art hearts and stars in homespun fabrics upon it, and perhaps some small primitive stitcheries within some of the crazy quilted patches. Do you think I can achieve the prim look within this? Thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated and Thanks for looking!

I think it's gorgeous!!! I'm not a quilter so I can't offer any constructive suggestions, I just know what I like.
