I created this rug of good old Saint Nick and I just love the way he turned out. All the wool is recycled, some I dyed in a big old pot on the stove. It is hooked in an 8 cut on primitive burlap fabric from old rugs, skirts and coats. The fun of this kind of hooking it the textures are so different and the end product is just fun to look at!

That is the most gorgeous hooked rug ever! I can't imagine how long that took you to do, but it's just exquisite. Beautiful workmanship and handmade from the heart, I'm sure!!!!!!

Thanks so much for your compliment! I have no idea how long it took to make this rug...I worked on it on and off over a year...probably about 60-70 hours in total. But the finished product was well worth it. I too love it. It will be a family treasure for a long time.
