Greetings from Crafty Avenue! Oh where has time gone? December is upon us and the holidays are fast approaching! If you need any glass glitter, mica flakes, or other craft supplies for your last minute projects, be sure to order by midnight December 18th to ensure delivery before Christmas. If you're wondering what to give your teachers, co-workers, or other friends, check out our huge collection of patterns for some quick, easy, last minute gifts to whip up. Deb from Paxton Valley Folk Art has given us a wonderful gift of three new free patterns! We also have a new tutorial from Margaret on how to make giant homespun candy canes. These would look great gathered in your home, or you can make smaller ones to spruce up your wrapped gifts! Greetings from Crafty Avenue! Fall has quickly snuck up on us... my favorite time of year! I'm sad that summer is almost over, but I'm excited for the fall leaves, pumpkin picking, baking apple goodies, and of course Halloween. Halloween is my favorite season to craft for! We have a new artist this month! Please welcome Judy of 'Primfolks by Judy'. Judy's style is very early american, folkart primitive; and she has brought some really amazing patterns to us! Be sure to check out her collection HERE.

Our new facebook fanpage has been growing, we're almost to 500 fans! We will be giving away a free e-pattern of choice to the 500th fan, and to the person who invited them. New members: be sure to post to our page a hello, or post who invited you. Existing fans, send out some invites and be sure to let your friends know they must post who invited them! Due to recent changes on facebook, we're unable to track new fans, so make sure you post for your chance to win! :)

Easter is just around the corner, and we want to see what spring creations you have been crafting! Post your spring or Easter photos in our Gallery for a chance to get your photo featured on the front page of Crafty Avenue and in our newsletter for a full month! Three winning photos will be chosen on April 1st and displayed for the full month of April. The last day to enter is March 31st; any image you post must be created by you. And remember, you are allowed to post a price and an email address in the photo description if you are selling the item! I can't wait to see what you have been making!

We recently finally removed the old createaprim.com address on our website. If you are having trouble viewing our site, it may be due to an old link or saved address. Please update your saved address to follow www.craftyavenue.com and delete your cookies/browsing history if you're having trouble viewing the site. If you discover any other problems with this change, please let me know.

A new artist has joined us this month: Connie Rankin of Abbey Lane Patterns. She has a great pattern for a rag quilt, an easy beginner pattern for those of you who wish to start making quilts; along with some other patterns. You can take a peek at her page here.

Happy New Year from Crafty Avenue! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and happy Holidays! I'm finally rested up, and ready for a new year! We have a new artist joining us: Sherri Schnyder of FarmerGirl Primitives. She is a talented designer whom I'm sure will delight us with many gorgeous patterns this year.

Also, we now have a fan page on Facebook! Be sure to become a fan to join in on the fun with giveaways, exclusive promotions, updates, and more! Feel free to post on our wall, or add photos of items you have made from the tutorials and patterns on Crafty Avenue. I hope to see you there!
